Requirements while you apply for a digital signature certificate
- Digital signature form duly filled by the applicant.
- Individual Address Proof
- Individual Photo ID Proof.

Steps to apply for a digital signature certificate
STEP 1: Log on and select your type of entity
Click on the buy digital signature certificate to issue digital signature certificates in India.
Open that page and select your digital signature certificate as your requirements.
Now under buy digital signature select your certificate type Individual or organization, etc.
If you are apply for Individual DSC, select ‘Individual’. A new tab open with DSC registration form.
Download the DSC Application form on your PC and save it.
STEP 2: Fill the necessary details
After Download the application form, fill all the necessary details as required:-
- Class 2 of DSC Type
- Validity of Certificate
- Certificate Type: signing or signing+Encryption
- Applicant Name & contact Details
- Applicant residential Address
- Applicant Identity Proof details
- Document name as proof of identity
- Documents name as proof of address
- Attestation officers Details
- DSC Payments Details
Once filling up all compulsory details you have to attache passport size photograph on digital signature for with applicant signature.
Take a print out of complete Application form and supporting documents.
STEP 3: Proof of identity and address
The supporting documents as proof of address proof like: voter Id card, Addhar card, Driving Licence, bill etc. All Documents must be attested by an Gazetted officer with signature and seal.
STEP 4: Payment for DSC
You can make payment online and attache payment slip with documents for verification. You can use other payment option for payments like: demand draft or cheque.
You can fine all the details regarding payments after apply digital signature online.
STEP 5: Post the documents required
Enclose the following documents in an envelop:-
- DSC Registration Application form duly completed
- Attache supporting documents for Proof of identity and proof of Address.
- Demand Draft/Payment slip
- Address the enclosed envelop to the certify authority (LRA, RA).
- Post it to the address of the LRA or RA for further verification.
- One complete above steps you receive an email form authority with all your certificate Details.
